Our west coast tour with Sam Outlaw was amazing; we can’t wait to be back out on the road. Thanks to everyone who came out to the shows and had a good time with us. “Beyond the glittering street was darkness, and beyond darkness was the west. I had to go.”

Last week ‘Oh Louise’ was featured on iTunes Indie Spotlight. Thanks to everyone who downloaded and enjoyed it.

We spent the last couple of days at Dreamland Studio in Woodstock, New York. Bad Brains were moving their shit out and Delta Spirit was breaking in the whiskey and new songs. Talked god over a bottle of wine and fell asleep fast. Before we headed to the city we managed to go peak in the basement of The Big Pink where Dylan got away to record The Basement Tapes with The Band. Now we’re on the 40th floor of a hotel looking directly at ground zero. It’s been heavy. Be well, everyone.

All the lights in the sky are stars.

Our back right tire blew out twice today. Now we’re roadside on the roof of the van as a storm creeps in listening to Dylan. I’ll find my love via Chicago.

Last night seamlessly turned into today before any of us knew it. Delta Spirit played for an hour and a half as the sun went down on all the people who have been scattered about the Sierras the past couple of days. After their set we all walked over to watch My Morning Jacket blowing everyone’s mind. After the Jacket show we all hung around waiting for the Dr. Dog dudes to go play from 1:00am to 4:30am in a barn. Jim let Matt and I raid his trailer and score a bunch of fruit and whiskey for the road before we headed out. We ended the night sleep deprived, a little drunk, and completely happy watching Dr. Dog play every god damn song they had. This morning when I was in the bathroom I opened the window to find a horse staring right back at me with a backdrop of the Sierras as far as I could see. Matt and I are watching Dawes now. It hasn’t been half bad.
